DESCRIPTION: Sankofa Annual Young Black Achievers Awards Celebrates 19 Years of Honouring Excellence and Diversity\nRochester\, Kent – October 25\, 2025 — The Medway African and Caribbean Association (MACA) proudly presents the 19th Annual Sankofa Young Black Achievers Awards\, a powerful celebration of achievement\, resilience\, and cultural pride. This year’s ceremony also includes the 10th Annual Young People United (YPU) Awards\, the 8th Windrush Awards\, and the Diversity Awards\, continuing MACA’s mission to uplift and honour those who make a difference. \nThe Sankofa Awards now recognise young people of Black and diverse backgrounds who have excelled in education\, the arts\, sports\, and community service. The YPU Awards celebrate young people of all backgrounds who champion diversity and inspire others through leadership and advocacy. The Diversity Awards honour adults\, businesses\, organisations\, and community groups that have made outstanding contributions to promoting inclusion and equality. \nThis year’s event will feature a special live performance by Clavis 7even\, a UK up and coming MC from Wolverhampton\, alongside the energetic Young People United Dancers and other talented local acts. \nOver the years\, the Sankofa Awards have welcomed notable guests including Junior Giscombe\, Angie Le Mar\, Kele Le Roc\, Paulette Tajah\, Peter Hunnigale\, and many more.
