SUMMARY:Fireworks Night
DESCRIPTION:King’s School Rochester is pleased to confirm our annual Charity Fireworks event will be held on Monday 4th November. Gates open after School and we are expecting the display to start at 17.30. \nPrior to the event\, stands with refreshments will be open in Prep School Yard courtesy of the PPS and Friends organisations\, hot dogs\, burgers and vegetarian options will be provided by SMOQE who run a restaurant in Rochester High Street. \nThis event will be held on the Paddock and entrance will only be via Paddock Gate in Vines Lane or the Prep School Gate in King Edward Road. This year we are raising funds for the Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex (https://aakss.org.uk/) an organisation that provides significant support for all across the southeast. \nTickets will be £8 each and can be obtained via this link. This is a very popular event and ticket numbers for this event are limited. \nWe stress the need for all families to please park according to the local restrictions in and around the local area; our neighbours deserve understanding at this time. \nPlease remember that Pre-Prep and Prep school children MUST be supervised at all times by an adult

SUMMARY:Charity Quiz Night
DESCRIPTION:The Charity Quiz Night is on Friday 15th November and we will raise funds for charities nominated by the pupils this year – Kent Air Ambulance and Cancer Research UK.\n\nQuizmaster Medhurst is preparing questions and we will have 6th form pupils running additional games with prizes. There will be a bar with drinks and snacks on sale. Doors open at 7.00pm and the first round will begin at 7.30pm.\n\nPlease email charities@kings-rochester.co.uk to reserve your place (teams of up to 10 can enter). Entry fee payable on the night\, £5.00 per person.\n\n\nThe last quiz night….  ‘The Leftovers’ won with 78 correct answers\, ‘Quiz Team Aguilera’ came a close 2nd with 75\, and in 3rd was ‘Celtic Lunatic Fringe’ with 71. \n\nIt would be amazing to see lots of teams of pupils\, boarders\, staff\, parents and governors battling it out to be the champions of the 2024 Quiz!
