Health and Fitness Pathway

From Remove (Year 9) onwards, pupils can opt to participate in the Health and Fitness Pathway as an alternative to our competitive sports programme.

The purpose of this pathway is to offer pupils the opportunity to engage in a variety of health and fitness activities within a recreational environment. Pupils are introduced to different training methods and fitness activities that they may encounter in a university setting or later in life, once they have left school.

The range of activities increases as pupils progress through the year groups. Examples include: weight training, circuit training, lane swimming, multi-sport lessons, climbing, Park Run, orienteering, spin and yoga.
