Are we in Spain or in Mexico? No no …this is just another normal day at King’s School Rochester, where learning is fun and interactive, as pupils found out at breaktime on Tuesday. Read more here. As part of Language and Culture Week, Mrs Wiltshire and Mrs Brett organised a Selfie (or Usie) Booth opportunity for Prep School pupils. Break time, clear skies and even a rainbow in the background, provided the perfect setting to learn about traditions in Spain and Mexico. Some students had a go at playing Spanish castanets, while others learnt about items such as sombreros and ponchos from Mexico. Intrigued Senior School pupils wanted to join in…some did and talked to the pupils about festivals and traditions from Spain and Mexico they had learnt in their iGCSE Spanish course. The experience will be repeated this week at the request of a number of pupils who wanted to find out more, neither Mrs Wiltshire nor Mrs Brett could say no!
