Today, we celebrated 100 years since the first Cross Country Race at King’s School Rochester. We hosted our inaugural Festival of Running at the Alps, which started with pupils from Years 3 to 8 participating in a race around the Alps and through our woodland.
An Event for Every Runner
The Festival of Running is to promote the importance of physical activity for everyone, so is aimed at runners of all levels. Pupils had the choice to complete the course as fast as they could and compete against others in their year group for ‘The Race’; or take part in ‘The Fun Run’ and run at their own pace, just for fun.
