King’s Foundation Year (15-16)

A one-year academic and cultural experience preparing international pupils for Sixth Form success.

The King’s Foundation Year is designed for 15–16-year-old pupils who have been studying outside the UK and wish to experience a traditional British boarding education before progressing to A Level study.

This one-year programme provides an immersive academic and cultural experience, combining focused study with full integration into the vibrant life of King’s School Rochester.

Foundation Year pupils live in the School House, our welcoming co-educational boarding house. Shared meals, weekend trips and co-curricular opportunities create a strong sense of belonging and balance.
