The rowing squad saw more success at the weekend at Eton Dorney Lake with the J18 coxless quad taking home a bronze medal. We had a strong turnout at the regatta, fielding two coxless quads—one in the J18 category and one in the J17—as well as a coxed quad in the J15 category. In addition, we entered three doubles: two in the J15 category and one in the J17.
It was a brilliant day of racing, with excellent performances across the squad. This was the first time racing for some of our J17 rowers but they managed the races really well. The competition was fierce, but our rowers rose to the challenge, showing determination, teamwork and skill throughout the event.
A highlight of the day was the J18 coxless quad securing the bronze medal – a fantastic achievement and a testament to their hard work and preparation. Overall, the squad worked exceptionally well together, and the regatta was a great success for everyone involved. Massive thanks to the staff that helped on the day: David Trace and Andrea Waite.
