Welcome to
LITTLE KING’S
Small enough to nurture. Big enough to inspire.
At King’s School Rochester, we believe that education is not just about what you learn, but who you become. We have been inspiring young minds since 604 AD, and today that journey begins earlier than ever at Little King’s.
Our expanded Nursery provision from September 2026 will offer a warm, modern and nurturing environment for children aged 2 to 4. Designed to support busy families, we will provide 50 weeks of care a year with wraparound hours from 7.30am to 6.30pm, ensuring your child is safe, happy and learning in a place that feels like a second home. Located just two minutes from Rochester Station, we are perfectly placed for commuting parents.
Welcoming Children from 2 September 2026.
JUNIOR SCHOOL
A Foundation for Life
Every day at Little King’s is an opportunity to discover something new. Our aim is to educate, challenge and stimulate your child through a carefully balanced programme of work and play.
Skilled at quickly settling your child into this nurturing environment, our staff focus on identifying unique talents and strengths. We support the development of early social skills and independence, ensuring they become happy, confident learners ready for the next step in their education.
Nursery (2-year-olds)
Our Nursery setting for 2-year-olds focuses on sensory play, socialisation and developing early communication skills. In our secure and loving environment, children are encouraged to explore their curiosity and build their first friendships.

Pre-Reception (3-year-olds)
Our As they move into Pre-Reception, children benefit from a more structured learning environment that introduces the foundations of phonics, numeracy and curiosity-led enquiry through science, craft, art, role play and story-time. This year is dedicated to preparing them for a smooth transition into our Junior School.
Life at Little Kings
We provide a happy and safe first taste of the exciting world of learning. Housed in purpose-built, bright and airy facilities with a dedicated playground, we are privileged to offer a setting that is rare for a nursery.
A Space to Explore
Specialist Teaching
We believe in unlocking potential from the very start. From Pre-Reception, children are encouraged to explore, to challenge themselves and to develop their skills in all areas of the curriculum. Our children benefit from specialist teaching staff for languages, music, IT skills and physical development:

French: Introducing languages at the most receptive age.

Music: Access to specialist music teaching.

IT: Computer fun to build early digital confidence.

Yoga: To build balance and calm.

Martial Arts: Developing coordination and discipline.
Belonging to the
King’s Family
King’s Family
The King’s community is one of our greatest strengths. Even our youngest pupils benefit from our House system, where every child belongs to a House. This brings fun teamwork and friendships across year groups.
Little King’s children truly enjoy being part of Junior School life, watching and taking part in whole school events such as assemblies, the whole school service held in Rochester Cathedral, sports days and charity fundraising days.

Come and See Us in Action
The best way to feel the warmth of our community is to visit. We invite you to meet with Mrs Kellie Crozer, Vice-Principal of the Junior School, to tour Little King’s and discuss your child’s needs.
Following your visit, you can register your child, after which we will arrange a friendly assessment. This session allows us to ensure they are ready to embrace the opportunities we offer and can play and learn harmoniously with others.
From September 2026 we will participate in the Government’s Early Years Free Entitlement scheme (15 and 30 hours funded childcare) and accept Tax-Free Childcare payments. Please ask our Admissions team for further details on eligibility and how these hours can be applied.
Please note: Nursery places are allocated in order of registration.
