Welcome from
the Vice Principal, senior school – owen smith
At the heart of our Senior School is a strong ethos of care, where every pupil
is known, valued and encouraged to thrive. Whether your child is moving up
from the Junior School or joining us for the first time, here they will find a
vibrant and supportive community where they can truly belong.
Our aim is not only to develop knowledge, but also to nurture character and confidence—equipping pupils with the mindset and skills they need to succeed in a fast changing world. Alongside academic ambition, we place great value on independent thinking, co-curricular exploration and personal growth.
Pupils are encouraged to embrace the rich and varied opportunities on offer, both in and beyond the classroom. With small class sizes, passionate teaching and an inspiring co- curricular programme—from sport and music to outdoor pursuits and leadership development—every pupil is supported to fulfil their potential.
We work closely with families to ensure each pupil feels challenged, supported and able to make the most of their time with us.
King’s is more than just a school, it’s a family. I would be delighted to welcome you for a visit, so you can experience for yourself the warmth and ambition that make our Senior School so remarkable.
