Year 3 enjoyed an outdoor learning session at the Alps and the sun shone for us! The session linked to our learning on Ancient Egypt. The children began by exploring the space looking for Egyptian Hieroglyphs, using their grids to work out equivalent English letters. Then, the letters had to be rearranged to spell out a word. Groups competed against each other to break the code – Pyramid.
The children then had a fantastic time collecting fallen sticks and branches and tried to build the tallest pyramid they could. They worked together in groups and came up with some ingenious ideas. A great time was had by all. Well done Year 3.

Emilia and her horse, Bugatti, achieved a fantastic victory as overall County winners while representing King’s at the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) Dressage Championship Qualifier. Following this impressive performance, Emilia will now represent both the school and Kent at the prestigious Championships at Hickstead in May. We wish her the very best of luck!
