
This term has seen King’s provide exciting new opportunities in STEM, with a series of after-school lectures with leading academics from local universities speaking on neuroscience and the use of nanoparticles in cancer-research, as well as hosting talks on aeronautical engineering and leveraging Artificial Intelligence. These presentations have taken place in our new state-of-the-art Science Labs.
Last week a carousel of interview tasks and role-plays left our would-be “medics”, dentists and veterinary surgeons in the Upper Sixth well-placed to win places at leading institutions.
At the other end of the spectrum, Saturday Science Clubs and outreach with Canterbury Christ Church University. has excited interest with our younger scientists, and this week our budding Steve Jobs in Year 5 worked with software engineers and coding coaches at BAE Systems, one of the world’s leading defence specialists on jam-coding as we look to prepare the next generation of digital citizens.
