
As part of our school’s initiative to become a leading centre for STE(A)M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) more than half of the Senior School took part in the annual Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge this week. The Bebras Challenge is organised by the Raspberry Pi Foundation and delivered in partnership with the University of Oxford. It is a fun and engaging international competition and introduces pupils to computational thinking in a way that stretches their problem-solving skills beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Pupils tackle a series of interactive tasks that test logical reasoning, pattern recognition, and algorithmic thinking. Participation in the Bebras Challenge provides an invaluable opportunity for pupils at King’s to discover the relevance of computational thinking in real-world scenarios, while building confidence and enthusiasm in their journey with Computer Science.
