King’s School Rochester is proud to announce a new five-year partnership with Kent Cricket, marking an exciting new chapter for youth cricket development in the county. Under the agreement, King’s School Rochester will become a Kent Cricket Development Centre for Kent Youth Pathway indoor training and outdoor cricket fixtures, providing young cricketers with access to outstanding facilities in a historic and inspiring setting.

Cricket has been played for centuries on the school’s Paddock sports ground, set against the backdrop of Rochester Castle, and at the nearby Alps sports ground. The partnership brings together this deep-rooted tradition with Kent Cricket’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of elite players.

Commenting on the announcement, David Faries, Commercial Business Director at King’s School Rochester, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Kent Cricket. This long-term agreement is a strong endorsement of the quality of our indoor and outdoor cricket facilities and reflects our shared ambition to support and inspire young cricketers across Kent. We very much look forward to welcoming Kent’s players, coaches and supporters to King’s School Rochester over the coming years and to playing a meaningful role in the development of future talent.”

Min Patel, Head of Talent Pathway at Kent Cricket, added: “Having worked closely with David and the KSR team over the past year, we are really pleased to formalise this partnership. King’s School Rochester offers an excellent central location within the county, high-quality cricket facilities, and a team of enthusiastic, committed staff. We’re excited to be working with KSR over the next five years and confident this partnership will provide a fantastic environment for our young players to develop.”

This partnership represents a shared commitment to excellence, opportunity and the future of cricket in Kent, uniting tradition and talent development in a setting where young players can thrive.
