Last Saturday, a dedicated team of 12 cadets from our RAF section proudly represented the School in the regional Royal Air Squadron Trophy competition. Competing against 15 other local Combined Cadet Force (CCF) sections, our cadets were put through their paces in a series of challenging activities designed to test a wide range of skills.

This was the first time in a number of years that we have put forward a team and it was a very excited team that arrived. The competition assessed their proficiency in drill and deportment, marksmanship, mini helicopter flying, teamwork tasks, first aid, and various aspects of RAF knowledge. Throughout the day, our cadets demonstrated exceptional teamwork, innovative problem-solving, and strong leadership. Their commitment, discipline, and adaptability were highly commendable and more than once, the event officials praised the cadets’ teamwork.

Not only did the team showcase their impressive skills, but they also conducted themselves with exemplary professionalism and spirit, embodying the core values of the RAF and the Heart of King’s.

A special highlight of the day was the presentation of a Regional Commandant’s Certificate of Meritorious Service to Flight Lieutenant Pollard, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the cadet force. This well-deserved accolade reflects his dedication to our school and the CCF program and the wealth of knowledge and experience that he brings to our section.

We are incredibly proud of our cadets and grateful to all the staff who support the RAF section. Their hard work and enthusiasm continue to inspire excellence and camaraderie within our CCF.
