Mr Fish with members of the Zetountes Society

Mr Fish, Head of History and Politics, addressed the academic scholars of the Zetountes Society on Friday on the theme of “Designing Disney’s theme parks – turning dreams into reality”. His fascinating talk highlighted how Walt Disney and his successors transformed their “blue sky” thinking into the multi-billion business that annually realises the dreams of millions of “guests” across the globe with theme parks in the USA, France, China and Japan.  The role of “imagineers” was highlighted in the transformation of concepts into reality, while the pioneering use of Audio-Animatronics featured in this knowledgeable presentation, as Mr Fish demonstrated to the group how ambitions and aspirations can be realised.
