Netball

Netball is the core sport of our Preparatory and Senior girls during the Lent term. We have five outdoor courts and one indoor court at the King’s Rochester Sports Centre, where fixtures are played during the week and on Saturday mornings.

Our floodlit outdoor courts and full-size indoor court provide us with the flexibility to host fixtures and run training sessions. Saturday morning fixtures see large numbers of girls representing the School with fantastic support from parents and friends.

The weekly programme focuses on improving speed, agility and movement skills specific to netball, along with enhancing team dynamics and whilst challenging and developing our pupils’ tactical thinking.

Our Preparatory School teams compete in the IAPS tournaments and Senior School teams regularly compete in the National Cup. Additionally, we host annual tournaments at our sports centre for the U10, U15 and U18 age groups.

We are a London Pulse partnership school and our facilities are used for their Academy sessions. As part of this partnership, our staff regularly attend London Pulse CPD events and our pupils attend Super League games at the Copper Box twice a year.

We run a Barbados Netball Tour every two years for pupils in Year 7 and 8 and our senior teams often tour within the UK.
