In Y3 science we worked collaboratively in small groups to plan and carry out fair test investigations into the durability of rocks. We carefully considered our independent, dependent and controlled variables to ensure the test was fair. We then learnt about the composition of soil. We used our learning to create our own edible soil profiles using some yummy ingredients to represent different layers of soil. We used iPads to create digital labelled diagrams of our profiles. It was a lot of fun. We love exploring the wonders of science from such a young age!
