King’s School Rochester hosted an insightful Careers Lunch for our Sixth Formers, led by School Governor and King’s parent Nikki Cordell-Cagan (ASIP).
As a seasoned Head of Compliance, Nikki shared her journey through the high-stakes world of investment banking—a career that has taken her across the globe. She provided a transparent look into the industry, offering pupils a roadmap for navigating the complexities of modern finance.

Degrees are Flexible: You don’t need a maths degree to succeed. Nikki emphasised that whether you study history or economics, the most important “key” is achieving a strong grade in a subject you truly love.
Commit to Lifelong Learning: Education doesn’t end at graduation. Nikki discussed the necessity of professional exams and shared her own experience of completing a Master’s in Finance mid-career.
