Excitement filled the corridors as our Junior School pupils—and even teachers—took on the festive challenge of designing a Christmas tree made entirely from branches and wool. The Sports Department, Prefects and House Captains joined in too, creating a brilliant buzz of teamwork across the whole School.
With just one week to complete their creation, children headed into the woods over the weekend to collect branches and gathered their own decorations to bring their ideas to life. It was a true celebration of the teamwork at the HEART of King’s—everyone pitching in, every idea valued, and every hand helping to win the ultimate prize: exclusive use of the Common Room at break and lunchtime, complete with Christmas treats and hot chocolate!
The atmosphere was fabulous as classes planned, designed and crafted throughout the week. Our judge, Miss Catlett, had a very difficult task choosing a winner, with so many imaginative and beautifully made entries on display. From knitted stars to pom-pom baubles, chocolates, fairy lights and wonderfully creative designs, the standard was incredibly high.
However, after much deliberation, 7W were crowned the winners! A huge well done to them for their outstanding effort and creativity.
Congratulations to everyone who took part—your festive spirit and teamwork made this competition truly magical.
