Senior swimmers competed in the Kent Schools Swimming Championships in Margate with the team making a splash by setting many new school records!

Nahum F (U6) and Lanre D (L5) both swam in the 100m fly and Nahum was placed fourth with a time of 1.02.19 – a new school record. Lanre swam it in 1.05.73 and was awarded the bronze, breaking Nahum’s previous record for this event!

Next up was Charlotte J (R) in the fly: she swam brilliantly placing 9th, with a time of 1.22 equalling Cara J’s (L6) record. She took to the water again in the 100m backstroke along with Izzy W (U5) and Angelika K (U6) where Angelika also managed to set a new school record.

In the second session of the day Lanre swam in the 100m freestyle, placing second with a time of 1:00.08 – yet another new school record! Then Angelika’s performance in the 100m breaststroke set one more new school record ending a very successful day for the swim team.
