The General Knowledge “season” is now drawing to a climax, with successes for some of the individuals and teams.
In the Senior School our last remaining team of Sixth Formers played St Colman’s College from Newry in Northern Ireland for a place in the National Finals. Despite scoring well on the “Muppets”, Monopoly and Canadian Prime Ministers/Governors of the Bank of England, the team of Ella J, Charles B, Chester C and Jacques P were defeated in a hard-fought match.
Our Preparatory School team went one better and, despite containing only two Year Six and one Year Four pupils, the team heard this week that they have qualified for the National Finals to be held next term. Arthur G, Ethan Ma, Ethan O and Rahul S are to be congratulated on this success following a victory in
their semi-final against Brentwood School.
Arthur and Ethan O, alongside Thomas N, also enjoyed individual success in the SATIPS Challenge, winning Amazon Gift Cards for their performance in the challenge set by Old Roffensian Harry Paget and modelled on our own Nickless Prize. Fantastic effort everyone!
