Father Padfield visited our Year 2 classroom to talk about Lent and how it is a special time to think about new life and fresh beginnings. He explained that during Lent we try to make good choices, show kindness and prepare our hearts for Easter. The children listened carefully and enjoyed learning how this season links to the signs of new life we can see around us.
Afterwards, on a beautiful sunny day, the children went outside and excitedly spotted the first signs of spring. They found bright crocuses, tiny snowdrops still standing proudly, cheerful daffodils blooming, heard birds singing in the trees, noticed tiny insects beginning to buzz about, and saw fresh green buds appearing on branches – wonderful reminders that spring is on its way bringing hope, joy and fresh beginnings.
