
Year 1 took part in a STEM activity linked to their Antarctica topic. Some tiny explorers and their treasure had become trapped inside a giant glacier. The task was to free them quickly and safely using tools from the rescue kit: warm water, salt, a metal spoon and a brush. The children had lots of fun exploring how to melt the ice, making predictions and using scientific vocabulary. Luckily, they managed to rescue all the tiny explorers!
