Pupils from Year 3 and up took part in an exciting core strength competition – the House Plank Challenge last week – to see who could hold the plank position the longest in support of their House.
Cones were set out to mark each house area, and with staff on hand to ensure fairness, the timer started as soon as everyone was ready. Pupils were encouraged to give it their all, while staff were also invited to take part.
Crick House took the top spot with 35 participants, followed by Whiston (28), Parker (26), and Storrs (15). Certificates for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group were awarded in subsequent assemblies.
Among the Year 3 competitors, Zfia R took 1st place, followed by George G in 2nd, and Ava B in 3rd. In the Years 4–8 category, Lucy B and Tarkan S shared 1st place after holding their plank for an impressive 12 minutes. Aanand J came 3rd, followed by Freddie W in 4th and Florence L in 5th.
Well done to everyone that took part in the first House Challenge of the academic year.
