Our rowing team competed at Eton Dorney Lake, the 2012 Olympic venue, in the Ball Cup South Regatta. The event was a great success, with our rowers participating in seven races throughout the day.

The first race of the day was the J15 coxed quad and despite the stroke having to row with one oar due to a technical issue they qualified in the final where they took 2nd place and the silver medal. The J18 coxless quad came second in the heats and in a nail biting final also took the silver medal. They were just 2 seconds away from winning the gold! Rowers managed to qualify for the singles J16 and the girls WJ15 but it was the last race of the day, the J18 1x, that resulted in another medal. After a brilliant race and a lot of hard work we managed to win 3rd place and the bronze medal to add to our two silvers. We were delighted with the results and had a wonderful day.

Thank you to all that took part and the staff and volunteers that helped on the day.
