On Monday, Remove pupils ventured to Port Lympne Zoo for the day. The first port of call was the safari truck, and pupils were delighted to see a number of beautiful animals. This included zebras, deer, camels, buffalo, and giraffes. The lengthy and hilly walk after the safari, during which some pupils tried to ‘talk’ to the animals, gave us all an appetite, and some decided to have lunch with the dinosaurs. A rather fearless seagull attempted to steal a muffin from one pupil. As we neared the end of the day, some pupils still had enough energy to run the many steep steps up toward the lions and tigers. Here we saw the lions being fed and fighting over one particular tasty morsel, despite there being several placed in the enclosure. A lovely day out by all.
