I am delighted to announce that King’s pupils have once again achieved excellent results in this year’s GCSE examinations. Following last year’s record-breaking performance, we have upheld our strong academic standards, with a quarter of all GCSE grades awarded at the top levels of 8 and 9.

Two-thirds of all grades achieved were 6 and above, with our grades 7 and above being more than double the national average.

Our ‘Grammar Stream’ performed exceptionally well, with 70% of their grades in the top categories of 8 and 9.

Today’s results reflect the hard work and aspiration our pupils have shown and it was wonderful to see so many happy children and parents in Satis House this morning. I am incredibly proud of everything this year group has achieved, not only academically but also through their broader contributions to the vibrancy of life at King’s. Their endeavour and willingness to explore their passions through the rounded opportunities available to them here truly sets them apart. We believe that the holistic experience pupils gain at King’s is vital in developing the confidence and skills they will carry with them throughout their lives. As we celebrate these achievements, I look forward to welcoming this talented group of pupils back into the Sixth Form, where I am confident they will continue to grow and excel in the next stage of their journey at King’s.
