House Rugby
The always fiercely competed Boys’ House Rugby competition took place in perfect weather conditions at The Alps this week. For the first time the Senior competition employed the format of Touch Rugby, broadening the participation base for pupils able to compete. The pace of the game tested both players and officials through an end-to-end spectacle of speed and skill.
The Junior competition followed the more traditional Rugby 7’s format and was a hard-fought affair. With the large spaces promoting attacking rugby and testing athleticism, it was Storrs who dealt with the challenge the best, remaining unbeaten throughout.
The penultimate match for Seniors saw Whiston meet Parker, with the winner knowing they would be crowned this year’s champion, leading a 3-2 victory to the yellow shirted Whiston.
The final results were as follows:
Juniors:
1st Place: Storrs
2nd Place: Parker
3rd Place: Crick
4th Place: Whiston
Seniors
1st Place: Whiston
2nd Place: Parker
3rd Place: Crick
4th Place: Storrs
