The rowing team finally managed to get back to racing this term after weeks of bad weather and cancellations. On Saturday the team raced at Kingston Small Boats Head – a 5200m long head race from Hampton Court down to Kingston Rowing Club.

The race is very popular and was oversubscribed with 452 crews (singles, doubles, quads, fours) from different age groups (Juniors, Open and Masters). King’s had two quads racing:
– J18 4x- Chester C (J17) / Harry G (J16) / Oliver L (J18) / Taylor M (J17)
– J16 4x- Reuben D (J16) / James G (J16) / Freddie R (J16) / Ben R (J16)

King’s had to race against J17 groups consisting of older pupils from top leading rowing schools from London. The J16 4x- came 11 out 11 and the J18 4x- came 12 out of 14 but it was good to get back on the river and the team is hoping for better weather for training.
