In her recent chapel address, Life Lessons from LEGO People, Mrs Coetzee explored how these tiny, claw-handed figures can teach us valuable lessons about life. Just like LEGO people, we are all uniquely built with different strengths, and comparing ourselves to others only holds us back.
Life, much like a LEGO set, can be messy and unpredictable, but it’s in the challenges that creativity and resilience emerge. We are stronger together, just as LEGO figures shine when they are part of something bigger. And even when we fall apart, we can always rebuild—stronger than before. Lastly, the smallest actions, like a kind word or a helping hand, can make the biggest difference. So, as we go through life, let’s embrace our individuality, lean on others when needed, and build something meaningful—one brick at a time.
