On Sunday, we competed at the TVP Regatta on the River Thames. Despite challenging weather conditions, with a strong headwind throughout the day, it was a successful and rewarding experience for the club.
We had six crews racing, and the event was exceptionally busy with a high turnout from clubs across the region. The adverse conditions made racing difficult, particularly at the start where many crews struggled to attach to the stake boats. However, our crews handled the situation impressively, demonstrating great composure and boat-handling skills.
The J16 coxed quad put in a fantastic performance, narrowly missing out on a win in their final and finishing a very close second. The J15 coxed quad also delivered a strong row, securing a third place finish in their final.
Overall, it was a day of competitive racing where all our crews showed resilience, determination, and excellent technical ability. A great effort all round well done to everyone who raced!
