Some of the EAL (English as an Additional Language) pupils enjoyed an exciting cultural day out in London. Setting off from Victoria Station, we began our walking tour by visiting the stunning Westminster Cathedral, followed by the historic Westminster Abbey. From there, we admired the iconic Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament up close.
Our journey continued along Whitehall, where we paused outside Downing Street before arriving at the bustling Trafalgar Square. At the National Portrait Gallery, Ms Walters gave us a fascinating guided tour, bringing the portraits and stories to life.
After a well-earned picnic lunch in St James’s Park, we walked through Horse Guards Parade and along The Mall, finishing with a visit to the gates of Buckingham Palace, before making our way back to Victoria station. We had an amazing time as tourists for the day and did a lot of steps!
