Following the introduction of a form competition in the Midsummer Term, the classes that earned the most points in Years 4–6 and Years 7–8 were treated to a very special reward — a visit from the ice cream van!
Form groups had the chance to build up their points by consistently demonstrating high standards in dress, behaviour and timekeeping. Points were awarded daily for being punctual to school, arriving in full and smart uniform, lining up quietly and remembering their boaters, caps or hats on Cathedral days. Singing confidently in Cathedral and showing excellent behaviour also contributed to their totals.
We even extended the competition to our residential trips to Warsey and the Peak District, where pupils continued to rise to the challenge.
It was fantastic to see every class embrace the competition and strive to be their very best, day after day. The points were extremely close, but special congratulations go to:
- 4SM – the top-scoring class in Years 4, 5 and 6
- 7ES – the highest achievers in Years 7 and 8
Well done to all classes for their enthusiasm and effort!
