Pupils in Years 4-8 of the Junior School undertook the first round of the Nickless Prize for General Knowledge. Inaugurated in 1969 by Mr C.J. Nickless, O.R., Headmaster of the Preparatory School from 1990 to 2001, the quiz is modelled on the famous King William College competition. It consists of 100 questions which children initially complete unseen, before researching the answers over the half-term break in readiness for a second sitting on their return to school in November.
Leading scorers compete in local and national competitions, including the Schools Challenge, which saw our Junior team reach the national finals in June this year.
Family and friends are invited to tackle the quiz for fun. Answers will be supplied on 28th November once pupils have completed the second round of the quiz.
