We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of siblings Lanre and Fola, who recently competed at the 2026 Kent County Swimming Championships, held at the prestigious London Aquatics Centre in Stratford.

Lanre: Balancing Books and the Board

Lanre competed in six events and achieved a remarkable 100% “Top 6” finish rate. What makes these results even more impressive is that Lanre balanced his training with rigorous revision for his mock exams, where he also achieved top grades.

  • 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly & 100m Butterfly: 3rd Place (Bronze)
  • 50m Backstroke: 4th Place
  • 100m Backstroke: 5th Place
  • 100m Freestyle: 6th Place

His ability to maintain such a high level of performance while prioritising his academics is a testament to his maturity and time-management skills.

Fola: A Fantastic Debut

This was Fola’s first major competition outside of club qualification galas, and she rose to the occasion brilliantly. Competing in four events, Fola demonstrated great technical skill, particularly in the Breaststroke.

  • 100m Breaststroke: 4th Place
  • 200m Breaststroke: 6th Place
  • 50m Breaststroke: 8th Place
  • 50m Freestyle: 25th Place

Fola continues to show immense dedication to her sport, successfully balancing her daily training sessions with her important responsibilities as a Chorister.
