We are proud to announce that Reuben D in Lower Sixth was shortlisted as part of the 25th anniversary John Downton Awards, a prestigious competition celebrating the creative talent of young people across Kent.
With 453 entries submitted from 36 schools across the county, we are delighted that Reuben’s GCSE painting was selected for inclusion in the exhibition. The exhibition was held at Kent County Hall in Maidstone, with the awards ceremony taking place on 11 February.
The judging panel included Clarrie Wallis, Director of the Turner Contemporary in Margate, who remarked that the standard of work was exceptionally high across all categories and age groups, placing Reuben’s work among a field of outstanding submissions. Well done Reuben.
