We were whelmed by the response from Junior School pupils for this term’s music showcases. With so many keen performers, we expanded the programme into two events. It is wonderful to see so many King’s musicians eager to share their talents.
While there are too many performers to name individually, we wish to give a special mention to Mrs Brownett, who is retiring after 16 years of ballet coaching at King’s. At Monday’s event in Chadlington Hall, her groups performed beautifully, and Lottie’s solo was a fitting tribute to her years of training. On behalf of generations of pupils, Lottie presented Mrs Brownett with flowers to thank her for her dedicated service.
Across both afternoons, pupils from Year 1 to Year 8 showcased a diverse range of instruments and vocals. For some, it was their first-ever public performance. We look forward to many more from our Junior School stars. Congratulations to all — you should be very proud.
