Chadlington Hall was buzzing with excitement as our talented Year 3 pupils and Junior School ensembles took to the stage for the Performers’ Assembly. It was a wonderful celebration of music, dance and spoken word, giving our young artists a fantastic platform to showcase the fruits of their hard work this term.
The afternoon kicked off with high energy as the King’s Dance Club treated the audience to a vibrant medley featuring Moana, Dance Monkey and the lively Boot Scoot Boogie. Audiences were treated to delightful solo performances on the piano, violin, cello, and even the clarineo and marimba. From traditional tunes like Pease Pudding Hot and Bingo to beautifully executed classical pieces like Kabalevsky’s A Little Song, every single soloist performed with remarkable confidence and poise.
Interspersed between the musical acts were LAMDA readings where the expressive deliveries of My Puppy, The Folk Who Live in Backward Town and a cleverly executed Riddle duet demonstrated excellent stage presence and comedic timing. The school’s ensembles also shone brightly, with the Junior School Choir delivering moving renditions of Shalom and Sing a Rainbow, while the String Group took listeners on a prehistoric musical journey with Plesiosaurus.
The showcase concluded on a high note with a wonderful finale as Year 3 came together to sing Out in the Forest by M. Carpenter. It was the perfect end to a spectacular afternoon. Huge congratulations to all of our soloists, dancers, readers and musicians, and a big thank you to Mrs Green, Mrs Jeavons, Mr Price, Mrs Robinson and Mr James for preparing the pupils for such a memorable concert!
