Our pupils who are considering applying to Oxbridge got the opportunity to listen to Old Roffensian, Matthew Anderson. Anderson is a Cambridge alumnus who briefed the pupils on why and how to apply to Oxbridge.

We also hosted a Careers Lunch for pupils interested in working in the property sector, looking at careers within a surveying and property consultancy including project management, building surveying and quantity surveying. We also discussed the pros and cons of the traditional university route versus the modern apprenticeship.

It was a really interesting and informative session, hosted by Mehmet Bekir, partner at Faithorn Farrell Timms. He was accompanied by two colleagues, one of whom, Ellie, is a strong advocate of the apprenticeship route and is working towards her degree herself.
