The annual Staff v Upper Sixth netball match took place on Tuesday evening at School House Court. The staff were feeling unsettled, having lost two key players leading up to the game. They also had three players making their debut. They faced a strong Upper Sixth side who were full of confidence before the game.
The three staff debutants made outstanding contributions, and our old faithful Ms McIntyre, Mr Taylor, Mr Hebden and Miss Costelloe linked up well, getting the ball to goal with ease. Mr Grice and Mrs Waite defended solidly, only allowing one goal to get past them in the second half of the game. The staff are yet to lose, and this year was no different — they won the game 20-8!
Thank you to the umpires, Mrs Hooper and Miss Pine, and everyone who came for this exciting event.
Miss Pembroke, Head of Netball
