On Saturday, KSR Rowing competed in the Barnes & Mortlake Regatta, delivering a superb performance that reflected the dedication and hard work of our athletes. Our crews demonstrated a fantastic display of rowing skill, teamwork and determination across all events.
KSR was represented in four events: two J15 doubles, one J18 coxless quad and one J15 coxed quad.
The J15 doubles raced impressively throughout the heats, progressing to the semi-finals and ultimately setting up an exciting KSR vs KSR final – an incredible achievement showcasing the strength of our rowing programme. Matthew H and Tristan O won the J15 doubles, but it was a very close finish against teammates Dylan E and Alex M.
Our J18 coxless quad – Chester C, Laurence T, James G and Ben R – continued the momentum, winning their heat and securing first place in a highly competitive final.
The final race of the day saw the J15 coxed quad – Matthew H, Tristan O, Alex M and Dylan E, coxed by Matthew D – claim a strong win in their heat and finish second in the final.
Overall, it was a highly successful day for KSR, with dominant performances across all the events we entered. Congratulations to all the pupils who took part, and a big thank you to Miss Catlett and Mr Trace for their support on the day.
