A squad of rowers took to the River Thames in London for a landmark training session.

For the first time in the School’s history, KSR practiced in an 8+ (eight-oared boat plus cox). As a school that has never previously owned or raced in an eight, this represents exciting new territory for our rowing programme as we prepare for the Schools’ Head of the River.

The Crew:
Cox: Alex Mathie
8: Chester C (Stroke)
7: Laurence T
6: Reuben D
5: Ben R
4: Priam V-A
3: Taylor M
2: Silas M
1: Connor P (Bow)

It was a brilliant day on the water, made even better by a rare appearance from the sun! Despite this being the crew’s first time together in an eight, they delivered an incredibly strong session. We would like to extend a huge thank you to Gavin Keir from SL Racing, who made this possible by providing us with a brand-new, top-of-the-line SL rowing boat.
