The King’s Music Scholars treated parents, teachers, governors and friends of the School to a special evening of solo performances in School Hall. The pupils, from Year 8 to the Upper Sixth, presented a full programme of vocal and instrumental items, all at an impressively high standard. From virtuosity on the clarinet to beautifully expressive melodies on the violin, mesmerising patterns on the marimba to the energetic rhythms of the drum kit, there was a great variety of musical talent displayed. Many congratulations are due to all those who performed – you were superb ambassadors of Music and of your school and should rightly be proud of your own achievements. Our gratitude and admiration goes out to the many people who contribute the success of such an enjoyable evening, including the Estates Team, the Marketing, Reprographics and Communications Teams and of course Miss Roux, Mrs Binney, Mr Price and the visiting teaching staff in the Music Department who have organised the event, accompanied pupils and helped prepare and support our young musicians in school.
