Year 4 enjoyed a fantastic trip to LEGOLAND, where learning, creativity and adventure came together in a truly memorable day. After arriving by coach, pupils began their visit by exploring Miniland, where they were able to see famous landmarks recreated in incredible detail using thousands of LEGO bricks. This was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to observe design, engineering and creativity on a large scale.

A highlight of the day was the robotics workshop, where pupils used their coding and problem-solving skills to design and develop their own LEGO theme park ride. Building on their computing learning in school, they had to think carefully about sequencing, control, movement and debugging. It was excellent to see them applying their knowledge in such a practical and exciting setting.

After the workshop, pupils spent the rest of the day exploring the park and experiencing the thrill of the real rides. Many showed great courage by overcoming fears, trying something new and encouraging one another along the way. The day offered plenty of opportunities for teamwork, resilience and independence, as well as a lot of laughter and excitement.

Before heading home, pupils visited the LEGOLAND shop to choose a small souvenir to remember the day by. They then returned to the coach tired but happy after a wonderful day of learning beyond the classroom.
