Model UN expanded into the Junior School on Monday, as 15 Year 7 and 8 pupils accepted the challenge of a novice conference at City of London Freemen’s School. Representing India, China and Venezuela, the pupils discussed topics from nuclear weapons and modern slavery to border stability and the rise of the far right.
King’s was very proud of the pupils’ participation in every committee. Every pupil took an active part, with Tara J for India arguing the United States to a standstill. Although MUN has only limited awards, King’s also left with three: commended delegates went to Milan D for Venezuela and Helena A for China, and ‘best delegate’ to Maya H-I for China. This was a fantastic result, reflecting not just our pupils’ ability, but the commitment they showed beforehand in all their preparation work.
Congratulations to all the Junior MUN team!
