King’s staff and pupils alike rendered Thursday afternoon less grey, as they took to the Alps to participate in the Colour Run. This much-loved event was held to fundraise for Cancer Research, to commemorate and honour those from our King’s family who have recently been lost to this dreadful disease.

Last term, King’s experienced the unimaginable loss of three beloved members of our community to cancer ; Natalie Gould, Yvonne Jackson and Aije Barnes. In the midst of mourning, our Deputy Head Girl, Chloe S, led the charge in supporting Cancer Research UK in their honour. Chloe and her team orchestrated the sale of Cancer Research t-shirts just in time for our biannual Colour Run on Thursday 2nd of May.

The sight of our entire school, adorned in Cancer Research merchandise, sporting colourful sunglasses and launching the vibrant powders through the air, was truly a remarkable sight. Everyone joined in the festivities and participated in the fantastic afternoon, from the Nursery to the Senior School to teachers and staff. The Sixth Formers even escorted our Pre-Prep students around the course, ensuring that the spirit of unity and support was felt by all.

In the wake of recent challenges, our school community rallied together, and was able to shine some joyous and very colourful light in the darkness. With the sale of 150 t-shirts and an incredibly generous donation from the Place family, we are thrilled to have donated over £2000 to Cancer Research!!
