Last week, King’s School Rochester marked an incredibly special milestone. At the end of this term, Mr Paul Medhurst retires after 37 years of dedicated, exceptional service to our school.
In a fantastic surprise, the Prep School atrium was secretly transformed into ‘The Paul Medhurst Garden’. This beautiful, zen-like space will stand as a lasting tribute to a remarkable career dedicated to inspiring independent thinking in his pupils.
The festivities culminated in a surprise reception in the School Hall, where the King’s community, past and present, gathered to toast Paul’s incredible tenure. The evening overflowed with shared memories and gratitude from the many lives he has touched across nearly four decades.
Thirty-seven years of devotion is a rare and magnificent achievement. Paul has shaped generations of Roffensians, and whilst he will be deeply missed, his legacy is now firmly rooted in the very fabric of King’s.
