Friends and family of Prep School pupils were treated to an evening of singing, dancing and music-making with lots of festive treats. Choirs from Years 4, 5 and 6 sang songs that they have been learning in their music lessons, whilst the Choristers and Prep School Choir shared two of the songs they have been rehearsing this term. Ballet dancers showcased their talents, even changing their choreography at the last minute as one of their number was unable to attend due to illness. Ensembles played perennial Christmas favourites including Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride, We Wish You A Merry Christmas and All I Want for Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth). The evening was rounded off with a rousing rendition of Jingle Bells, including a verse ably sung by the audience! Huge thanks to Mrs Boden and Mr Vinall for leading the Brass Group and Wind Band, Miss Brownett who directed the dancers, as well as Miss Roux for accompanying the choirs, plus Mrs Charles and Mr Holmes for assisting with the ensembles.
