Our warmest congratulations to all pupils who performed in our first-ever Summer Singers’ Showcase concert on Monday evening. The event featured young voices from Year 6 to Upper Sixth who presented a rich variety of music, from Baroque arias to Sondheim.

The audience also enjoyed three original songs performed by Sixth Form students Bryer, Shiv and Elizabeth, who skilfully accompanied themselves on the piano or guitar.

Bringing together the Preparatory and Senior Schools allowed our younger pupils to see what their vocal future at King’s might hold, while also giving nearly half of our performers their first chance to sing solo in front of an audience – a challenge each pupil met with confidence.

Our sincere thanks go to our dedicated team of singing teachers, Mr Jamieson-Smith, Miss Green and Mr Moulton, for their guidance and inspiration to these young singers. Miss Roux and Mr Price provided excellent piano accompaniment throughout the concert, while Mrs Binney once again ensured the smooth organisation and running of the event.
