Reception brought along spades and trowels to the Alps and had great fun digging in the mud, with the lifting, scooping and digging helping to strengthen our arms, shoulders and core muscles. We also used litter pickers and were amazed at how much litter we discovered hidden beneath the leaves.
Building on our learning from the story The Smartest Giant in Town by Julia Donaldson, some of us explored the creatures we found in the mud using magnifying glasses, imagining how much bigger we could make them.
